Our team
We’re very lucky to have such a hard working and friendly team, who always go above and beyond for our guests. Our team have a brilliant mix of energy and experience, and we like to think of ourselves as one big family. That’s why so many of our team members have been with us for over 10 years!
We think giving back to the community we’re part of is important. We host raffles and other charity events to support Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, a charity very close to our hearts.

Our restaurant has gone through a lot of changes over the years, but we’ve really hit our groove since we became a Beefeater in 2017.
We have a spacious dining area with booths, a riverside beer garden with plenty of benches and a relaxed bar area. Our restaurant is fully air conditioned with free Wi-Fi and accessible toilets.

With breath taking riverside views both in and outside of our restaurant, it’s easy to see why we love Newport and the Isle of Wight so much. It’s not just the river Medina, all the Isle of Wight is like this – a little paradise just off the coast of England.
The Medina Quay Beefeater is in Seaclose Park, the home of the amazing Isle of Wight Festival that’s been running every year since 2002. The festival has only become more popular over time, with bigger acts and more people – and we’re in an ideal spot for people who want to fuel up before a day of busy gigs with a delicious breakfast or wind down for dinner.
But it’s not all just festivals and rivers, Newport is also home to lots of fun days out like the Classic Boat Museum, the Monkey Haven Rescue Centre, Robin Hill Adventure Park and the Blackgang Chine – one of the best spots for families. The Isle of Wight has something for everyone!

Our steaks are always popular! Our 8oz fillet steaks are one of our tastiest cuts and, like all our steaks, they’re aged for a minimum of 30 days, grilled to perfection, packed with flavour and served with chunky triple cooked chips, crispy flat mushroom, juicy grilled tomatoes and peppercorn sauce.

If we have space, we’ll always try and find a table for you. But we recommend booking ahead, especially at the weekend when we’re at our busiest.
How long does it take to get to ferries from the Medina Quay Beefeater?
We’re close to most of the major ferry services on the Isle of Wight. We’re about a 10-minute drive away from ferries in Cowes, 20 minutes from ferries in Fishbourne and about a 40-minute drive away from ferries at Yarmouth.
