We’re lucky to have such a tight-knit team who have worked together for years. Our team are hard-working, attentive and passionate about making our restaurant a fun place to be for everyone. Whether our guests are locals, tourists or just hungry families looking for somewhere to eat in peace, our team always deliver the best meal possible!
We care about giving back to the community here in Dundee. We hold fundraising events for the local Dundee Maggie’s Cancer Centre and other local charities.
Our location
We were one of the first Beefeaters built in Dundee, and we’re proud to have been at the heart of the community since then. We’re built on old croft land dating back to the 1800s, and you’ll still find a lot of the original building work in our restaurant – including a stone-built fireplace that’s in pride of place in our bar area.
Our restaurant has everything you need to enjoy a delicious meal out. We have a spacious dining area that can seat up to 100 people, a comfy bar area with BT Sports and a pool table, and a big pub garden with room for up to 90 people.
We’re a brilliant venue for all kinds of events, parties and meetings for 10-30 people. Just let us know in advance and we’ll get everything set for you.
We’ve also got a large car park next door with room for buses and coaches, free Wi-Fi throughout our premises and our restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Simply put, we take all of the hassle away so you can focus on enjoying great company and good food!

Why we love Dundee
Dundee is a coastal city famous for its culture, museums and scenic walks along the river Tay. We’ve also got great connections to Edinburgh and other brilliant cities in Scotland.
At the Gourdie Croft Beefeater we’re in an ideal spot for visiting attractions like the famous V&A Dundee, the only museum of its kind in Scotland. The whole museum is shaped like a massive boat overlooking the river Tay, it’s well worth a visit after a delicious breakfast or dinner with us.
Interactive exhibits and the planetarium at the Dundee Science Centre are another great spot for visits – perfect for a family day out. As is Discovery Point, the point where the RRS Discovery left for Antarctica and the site of many other world-renowned voyages.
For one of the best outdoor spots in the city, take a visit to Camperdown Park, which hosts gigs, festivals and much more throughout the year. It even has a Wildlife Centre to explore!

Our steaks are always popular! Our 8oz fillet steaks are one of our tastiest cuts and, like all our steaks, they’re aged for a minimum of 30 days, grilled to perfection, packed with flavour and served with chunky triple cooked chips, crispy flat mushroom, juicy grilled tomatoes and peppercorn sauce.
People love our mixed grills too. We recommend upgrading to a juicy 4oz sirloin steak, succulent chicken breast, 5oz gammon steak and pork sausages, served with half a slow roasted tomato, grilled flat cap mushroom, fried egg, crispy beer-battered onion rings and triple-cooked chips.

Yes, we have an enclosed pub garden with plenty of benches and parasols. There’s no better spot for a quick drink or a bite to eat in the sun.
Should I book ahead at the Gourdie Croft Beefeater?
If we have space, we’ll always try and find a table for you. But we recommend booking ahead, especially at the weekend when we’re at our busiest. We can only take group bookings for more than 10 people in advance.
