Our team
We have a lovely and friendly team, everyone’s brilliant at what they do and you can always count on our speedy and attentive service. As a team we care about making your meal out the best it can be, and we love finding out more about guests and getting to know the people who eat with us when they come back time after time.

We also regularly run raffles and competitions to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, our charity partner.

Our location
But what is a Talpore? Well, we’re named after a troop steamer ship built in 1860, which carried over 800 people to vital missions across the world. Times have changed since then, but we still like to see ourselves as a big place where everyone can come together, though we definitely serve better food than our namesake did!

Our restaurant is made up of three different zones. There’s our main dining area, with a relaxed, comfortable vibe that’s perfect whether you’re on a romantic night out or you’re after a chilled meal out with the whole family. Our bar area is ideal for a light bite to eat or a drink or two, we have TNT Sports and you’ll always find the biggest games on our screen when you stop by. Finally, our outdoor dining area and pub garden overlooks the scenic Tees Barrage river crossing, it’s the perfect place for a bite to eat in the sun. We also have an outdoor play area to keep kids busy before it’s time to eat.

Why we love Stockton-on-Tees
Stockton is more than just a market town sandwiched between Darlington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough, we have a proud industrial heritage and there’s plenty of fun days out a short walk from our restaurant.

We’re in a brilliant spot right on the Tees Barrage, the scenic crossing along the River Tees leading to the wake along the river tees. We’re only a 25-minute drive from the stunning views of Roseberry Topping Hill. At the same time, we’re only a five-minute drive away from Teesside Shopping Park with all your high street favourites too – we’re in the best spot for any occasion. Whether you want to go white-water rafting along the river or just want to head down to the shops after lunch.

We’re only a short drive away from the bigger towns nearby too, we’re a great spot to fill up for the day on breakfast before a trip to Stewart Park, Ormesby Hall mansion, Hardwick Country Park and, well we have to say it, the Teessaurus Park – a park full of dinosaur statues down Teesside. We’re only a 10-minute drive away from Middlesbrough Town Centre too.
